Q&A with Sydney
Can you describe your typical day?
My typical day starts with me grabbing some breakfast in the wharf, which is our main lounge, and then heading up to my office in the creative department. Throughout the day, I am working in Adobe Photoshop, retouching images that are on the website whether it is an “on figure model” or “lay down clothing.” I am editing the images that come from our photographers in the studio. The other part of my day consists of checking emails, making sure all of the images are processed and uploaded so that our e-com team can upload them to the site. Even though this my “typical day,” every day is different. At Vineyard Vines, we like to enjoy the good life and we sure do that.
Tell us in a few sentences about your favorite aspects of your job.
My favorite part of my job is the fun atmosphere. You can catch some of the employees wearing flip flops, day-to-day. It is such a great environment to work in and everyone is a team—all working together.
How do you think Endicott prepared you for your first post-graduate job?
Endicott prepared me for my first post-graduate job by teaching me to take every opportunity given and to be the best you can be. By completing three internships, it prepared me for the real world and I became excited to start my career by senior year.
Is there any advice you would like to give Endicott undergraduates before it is their turn to go out and find careers?
Network as much as possible and use any of your own personal connections as well! It is so important to meet new people and express to them your interests and goals that you want to achieve in your career.
