"Junior year I discovered expressive arts therapy, which is a field that uses various art modalities to help people express and visualize their emotions. For me, this was the first step to realizing that utilizing the arts in my career is what makes me feel fulfilled. This internship experience has put me on the right track in terms of unlocking what truly makes me happy."
During her time at Endicott College, Jeana Alfano ’20 has struggled to visualize herself finding in a career related to her major, criminal justice. It wasn’t until her junior year that she discovered that her love for art and theater could be utilized in a future career.

Senior sport management major, Brendan Carpenter did his semester internship with the Boston Bruins Foundation; a nonprofit that strives to improve the lives of families by collaborating with charitable organizations. While handling responsibilities on the business side of the foundation, Carpenter got to directly experience the impact it has on the community.

"This internship has definitely moved me a step closer to my end goal because it allowed me to make connections with those in law enforcement. Additionally, I learned hands-on skills that I will hopefully use in my career, specifically the K-9 handling and training ones."
With her eyes set on a career in law enforcement, political science major, Kayla Kenehan ’20 did her senior internship with the Massachusetts State Police (MSP) Fire and Explosions Unit. Her experience involved working with highly-trained K-9s in situations such as a New England Patriots game at Gillette Stadium and working at Logan International Airport. Kenehan’s hands-on experience provided her with useful knowledge and valuable connections that will carry into her future career.
