Honor Societies

Alpha Alpha Alpha (Tri-Alpha) is a national honor society for First-Generation College Students who maintain a 3.2 cumulative grade point average. A First-Generation College Student is defined as neither of the student's parents, nor step-parents, nor legal guardians, completed a bachelor's degree.

Alpha Lambda Delta (ALD) is the National Honor Society for First Year Success. Students who achieve a 3.75 GPA or higher during their first semester at Endicott are eligible to join.

This is a national honor society for criminal justice students who maintain a 3.2 cumulative grade point average and a 3.2 grade point average in Criminal Justice courses.

Advisors: David Parry, Professor of Criminal Justice and Ashlie Perry, Associate Professor of Security Studies. 

This is an international honor society for hospitality students who maintain a 3.0 cumulative grade point average and a 3.25 grade point average in Hospitality courses.

Iota Gamma Chi honors students in the liberal studies major. In 2010, a group of Endicott students identified a need to recognize the accomplishments of those majoring in liberal studies. Iota Gamma Chi embraces the principles of thought and inquiry that are the benchmarks of the Liberal Studies major. Members must have earned a minimum of 15 credits and maintain a GPA of 3.2 or higher.

This international honor society is for junior and senior Education students in the upper fifth of the program.

Kappa Pi is an International Art Honor Society founded in 1911. Endicott College's chapter is named Lamda Zeta and we currently have over 100 student members. To qualify for membership students must earn at least 12 credits in art/design courses and achieve a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25 in the arts and a 3.0 overall. Members receive an Endicott College Kappa Pi t-shirt and certificate of membership. Additionally, seniors receive Kappa Pi cords to wear at commencement.

This is a national honor society for Communication students who maintain a 3.0 cumulative grade point average and a 3.25 grade point average in Communication courses.

Advisor: Melissa Yang, Professor, Communication

This is an undergraduate honor society for seniors, which recognizes exemplary students across all disciplines for scholarship, leadership and community service. Mortar Board members are selected during their junior year based on a high-grade point average and the recommendations of student leaders and members of the faculty. Active during their senior year, they create a legacy through a community service project for the Endicott campus.

This is a national honor society for history students who maintain a GPA of 3.1 in history and a GPA of 3.0 or better overall. Eligible candidates must also be in the top 35% of their class.

Phi Epsilon Kappa is a national professional honors society for students pursuing careers in physical education, health, recreation, dance, human performance, exercise science, sport medicine (athletic training) and sport management. Students are required to rank in the top 30% of their SSFS class as well maintain a 3.3 GPA in their major and college wide courses.

This is a national honor society devoted to the promotion of student research and academic excellence for juniors and seniors majoring in the biological sciences; members rank in the top 35% of their class, and maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.6 or better.

This is a national honor society for political science majors who rank among the top third of their class and have completed at least half of their undergraduate curriculum.

Advisor: Michael Kilburn, Professor of Political Science and Alana Tiemessen, Associate Professor, Political Science & Security Studies

This is a national honor society for psychology majors who have completed three semesters of study including nine semester hours of psychology, rank in the top 35 percent of their class, and maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.0.

This national society honors recognizes outstanding business majors. Members have completed one half of their degree programs while maintaining a cumulative grade point average in the top twenty percent of their class.

This international honor society is for junior and senior International studies majors who maintain a 3.2 cumulative grade point average and a 3.3 grade point average in their International Studies courses.

Advisor: Michael Kilburn, Professor of Political Science

This international honor society is for sophomore, junior, and senior English majors or minors who maintain a 3.0 cumulative grade point average or higher.

This international honor society is for nursing majors who rank in the highest 35% of their class, and have completed half of the required nursing curriculum.

Sigma Xi is an international research society supporting outstanding endeavors in all areas of science and engineering. With more than 60,000 members in over 100 countries, Sigma Xi sponsors projects and collaborations around the world through grant awards, publications, and program development. Endicott is a member of the North Shore Chapter along with Gordon College and Salem State College honoring students and faculty engaged in scientific research.
