Gary, Endicott College’s Comfort Dog
Gary joins Endicott College from Hero Pups, Inc., a non-profit organization that provides service dogs to veterans and first responders. A trained comfort dog, Gary works alongside a campus police officer as a comforting, calming resource for community members who are experiencing or have experienced crisis or trauma. Gary can help de-escalate stressful situations, reduce anxiety, and provide support in a variety of mental health situations while also helping with outreach and community engagement endeavors for the Endicott College Public Safety & Police Department.
When not reporting for duty on campus, Gary lives with Officer David Tebbetts.

Gary, a trained comfort dog, was sworn in as a member of the Endicott College police department on March 23, 2022. Gary joins Endicott College from the New Hampshire-based nonprofit Hero Pups Inc.
