Thomas (Tom) N. Kushner has been named the new dean of the Curtis L. Gerrish School of Business. Kushner succeeds Interim Dean Aileen Torrance and will begin his service immediately.

Thomas (Tom) N. Kushner has been named the new dean of the Curtis L. Gerrish School of Business. Kushner succeeds Interim Dean Aileen Torrance and will begin his service immediately. 

“I am thrilled to jump right into life at Endicott,” said Kushner. “Leading the future of business education at the Gerrish School of Business is an immense honor and I’m humbled to work with our first-rate faculty, dedicated staff, and various stakeholders building on the school’s success for students.” 

Prior to joining the Gerrish School of Business, Kushner worked with Wells Fargo Securities as a Managing Director and Senior Relationship Manager for the Global Institutional Client Group covering key institutional clients. 

“Tom’s experience and leadership in various global businesses will be a tremendous benefit for our students and the future of the Gerrish School of Business,” said Endicott College President Steven R. DiSalvo, Ph.D. “He is engaged, thoughtful, and most importantly, extremely knowledgeable about the changing landscape of global business and finance. He has a solid foundation to build on, thanks to Interim Dean Aileen Torrance and our wonderful faculty.” 

Before joining Wells Fargo Securities, Kushner was a Managing Director and Senior Relationship Manager with UBS, covering some of its top clients. He was previously Deputy Head of Foreign Exchange Distribution at UBS and a trustee of the UBS Political Action Board. Prior to UBS, Kushner worked with AIG Financial Products as Managing Director of Investor Marketing; he was also the former Managing Partner for Get Hooked and has held positions at Chase Manhattan Bank and TIAA-CREF. 

Kushner is a member of the Executive Committee for the Joe Torre Safe at Home Foundation and is the owner and operator of the Bridgeport Bluefish minor league baseball club. He is a member of Fairfield University’s Dolan School of Business Advisory Board and a volunteer mentor with American Corporate Partners, a veterans career support organization. He is also a member of the Junior Achievement (JA) Connect Alumni Task Force and a former board member of JA of Southwest Connecticut, where he served 10 years as a student mentor. 

Kushner holds a B.S. from Fairfield University, an MBA from the University of Michigan, where he was a Little Family Fellow, and a Doctorate of Business Administration in Finance from Sacred Heart University. He holds Series 7, 24, 63, and 79 licenses, is a FINRA Dispute Resolution Arbitrator, and is a member of the CFA Institute. 

Kushner and his wife, Stephanie, have three children.
