Want to learn how to live more sustainably? Join the Office of Sustainability from Monday, October 3 to Friday, October 7 for fun and interesting events surrounding sustainability. Bonus: win prizes while you learn!

“We really want people to learn and to come to these events to just get more involved with sustainability, find out how it's relevant to them, learn some really cool things about local community sustainable groups, and think about how a career in sustainability could be in their future,” said Carly Thibodeau, Associate Director of Sustainability at Endicott College.

Thibodeau noted that although these events are taking place during one week, all of October is Campus Sustainability Month nationwide.

The Office of Sustainability strives to make Endicott a sustainable campus, focusing on initiatives such as reducing waste, conserving water, and implementing energy conservation measures.

The group recently released a campus Ecomap, highlighting sustainable resources on campus. This points out recycling and composting locations, as well as water bottle refill stations.

In May 2022, the Office of Sustainability held a ‘College Cleanse’, collecting items during student move-out. Overall, the items donated tallied to $22,498.53. The items were then donated to various organizations in the area—giving new life to the items and diverting more than 5,500 pounds of usable donations from the landfill.
