EC Radio programming includes sports, music, popular culture commentary, and content from the School of Visual & Performing Arts. Listeners can tune in to the live stream online at ECradio.airtime.pro. The station has served as a training grounds for alumni in the field, including 2013 alumnus Peter Blackburn, who covers the NHL for CBS Sports and hosts his BRUNCH podcast.
Kramer is perhaps best known for her 25 years with former Boston radio station WFNX, during which time she introduced a number of new artists to the Boston music scene, and vice versa. More recently, she founded Indie617, a music-focused, streaming digital radio station that is independently owned and operated, featuring an eclectic mix of music from emerging and established artists from the indie/alternative genre. A Renaissance woman, Kramer is also active as a photographer and event promoter.
Dr. Randall Livingstone serves as EC Radio’s faculty advisor, and notes that the station continues to thrive and train new DJs. This semester, Livingstone says, 26 student DJs created more than 100 hours of live broadcast programming.
