Endicott College Hosts Earth Day Activities

April 7, 2016 – Endicott College will be hosting two events to celebrate Earth Day.  On Tuesday, April 19 the College will host a panel discussion titled,“Decarbonizing the Grid” and on Saturday, April 23 the College will be holding a bike drive.  The public is invited to participate in both events.


The 7th Annual Endicott Environmental Society Energy Summit will be held on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at 4:00 pm in the Klebanoff Auditorium located in the Ginger Judge Life Science building at Endicott College, 376 Hale Street, Beverly.  This year’s Energy Summit will consist of a panel discussion on the challenges and opportunities of decarbonizing the electrical grid. The panelist will be Mike Giaimo External/Legislative Affairs, ISO New England; Paul Gallant Shift Operations Manager at Entergy Corporation; and Dr. Matthew Staffier, Professor of Chemistry and Environmental Science at Endicott College. Also in celebration of Earth Day, the College is participating in a bike drive by asking the public to donate used bikes to Bikes Not Bombs, a Boston based non-profit organization. All types of bikes (no tricycles) and sizes as well as accessories and parts are welcome. The bike drive will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2016 in the Public Safety parking lot at Endicott College, 376 Hale Street, Beverly from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
