Profile
My childhood years were spent growing up in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. I attended college at Stetson University in Florida majoring in Elementary Education. My teaching career began in Wells/Ogunquit, Maine where I taught Third Grade. During those years I earned my Masters Degree in Reading at the University of New Hampshire.
Throughout the years of raising my three children in Wenham, MA, I worked in several different educational settings. I taught preschool, was the Director of the Hamilton/Wenham After School Program and founded a children's bookstore/school book fair business. I also spent a few years working as a consultant for a charter school and as an editor of math textbooks.
After thirty years of teaching, I recently retired. For twenty-two of those years I taught in the Topsfield Public School system. My roles there included teaching second and third grades and RTI-Reading.
In 2014 I began tutoring Endicott students who were preparing for their MTEL exams. Beginning in 2015, I became a Learning Consultant. I have found that supporting Endicott students as they achieve their personal and academic goals is a rewarding experience.
I enjoy spending time with my husband, family and friends, my book club group, taking walks with my dog and playing with grandchildren.
