The Endicott College School of Hospitality Management recently launched a new concentration—Food & Beverage Entrepreneurship. The concentration combines courses from hospitality, entrepreneurship, and business, and enables students to customize their educational path in the diverse hospitality industry. Hard hit by COVID-19, hospitality is ripe for innovation and change, which this new concentration focuses on.
The concentration will offer new courses such as Global Food Trends, Issues & Opportunities for Entrepreneurs, The Alchemy of Baking, and Contemporary Restaurant Concepts & Operations. These courses teach students about real-world issues such as food insecurity, supply chain disruption, and sustainable agriculture. The curriculum will help students develop the skills required to start their own artisanal food or beverage business or to thrive in a career in the non-profit hunger relief and food security spaces.
The new concentration in food and beverage entrepreneurship is complemented by core hospitality management courses offered in Endicott’s comprehensive degree in Hospitality Management. With so many innovative career paths in this expanding arena, the opportunities are endless.
