Anthony Ferullo, Vice President of Finance and Chief Operating Officer at Endicott College, has been named one of the top CFOs of 2023 by the Boston Business Journal (BBJ).

The BBJ’s CFO of the Year program honors top chief financial officers from companies in the Greater Boston region whose work and commitment have helped their companies, organizations, and our economy survive and thrive, particularly in these challenging times.

Ferullo, who graduated from Boston University’s Questrom School of Business with a BSBA in accounting, began at the College in 2012 as a Senior Financial Systems Analyst and was named Treasurer in 2014. He has served as Vice President of Finance since April 2016. He previously held roles at Emerson College and Merrimack College.

At Endicott, Ferullo has increased revenues, improved cash flow, reduced expenses, and grown the endowment from $67M in 2016 to more than $122M in 2022. Despite the challenges of the pandemic, he positioned Endicott for growth with a new academic quad scheduled to be completed with the opening of the Cummings School of Nursing & Health Sciences building in the summer of 2023. Additionally, the College has broken ground on a new residence hall slated to open in fall 2024. Ferullo has also played a crucial role in the launch of the 2020 Strategic Plan and the College’s first-ever campaign, Sail Beyond the Shore, and brought on the first enterprise resource planning platform—Workday, currently in the implementation phase—at the College.

“Tony is invaluable to all we do at Endicott and his forward-thinking leadership not only helped us navigate the pandemic but emerge on the other side in the strongest financial position since our founding in 1939,” said President Steven R. DiSalvo, Ph.D. “He is strategic and knows how to stay the course, but more than that, he is compassionate and truly cares about our students, employees and the community we serve.”

Ferullo will be honored at the 15th annual CFO of the Year awards program in July.
