Scott Dulin; '11; Methuen, MA;
ME.d. Athletics Administration

"Being firmly entrenched in the career of college athletics, I was hoping to be able to pick up bits and pieces to help progress as a professional. After one class, I soon found out how beneficial this program was for me and my profession and I was gaining more
knowledge than first expected. I have been an administrator of college athletics for over 11 years and have coached college athletics for over 14 years.
This program helped me re-think how I run an Athletics Department and acted as a self-evaluation and as a departmental evaluation. Being a part of a cohort with other like minded individuals was extremely fruitful as
I was able to get other ideas that I could implement into this athletics program. Since the start of this academic program, I have seen an improvement in the Fisher College Athletics program and I am better at my profession because of it.
For those looking to get into this career, the course work covers all aspects of the job. I can honestly say that all of the courses were pertinent and consistent with my daily
duties as a Director of Athletics. The availability to do the course work online made it possible for me to attend to my current job. I would highly recommend this program to anyone looking into getting into the athletics world or for those already involved in it."

Course Descriptions
Instructional Orientation
Through separation and integrated studies, the delivery of the program is based on the accelerated model for adult learners. Classes meet in the evening and/or on weekends or on-line to accommodate the schedules of working professionals. Instructors work as facilitators who employ a participatory approach to engage each student in an active learning process. This process brings to bear theory and concepts for application in the context of actual situations and problems that face the professionals in the workplace.
PLEASE NOTE: Admissions requirements for the International Program below are slightly different from the requirements for the Beverly campus. Candidates should examine the program information carefully for either the Leysin or Beverly programs.
