Endicott’s Collegiate DECA Chapter Receives Regional Recognition

Beverly, MA – Endicott College is pleased to announce that on Friday, February 3rd, twenty students from Endicott’s Collegiate DECA chapter attended a regional competition at Johnson & Wales University in Providence, RI.  The competition included 15 different schools from New England participating with nearly 200 total competitors.  The outcome of the event proved to be very successful for Endicott’s DECA chapter. Students from Endicott competed in seven different events and won 11 first-place medals in total, winning six of the seven events they competed in.  Awards were given in various competitive events such as finance, hospitality, business to business marketing, accounting, among others.

The conference provides collegiate DECA chapter students with the opportunity to highlight their development in leadership, receive recognition for competitive achievement, and network with other DECA students, advisors and industry leaders.

A very special congratulation to all of the top performers:  First place individual event winners include Jack Sloyan (Finance Written Exam and Corporate Finance Role Play), Matthew Gronlund (Accounting Written Exam and Accounting Role Play) and Jesse Restivo (Marketing Management).  First place team event winners were as follows: Tiffany Williamson & Mary Grygorcewicz (Sports and Entertainment Marketing), Ethan Mansur & Lauren Greenwood (Business Ethics), and Colby Dobrusin & Brendan McKenna (Business to Business Marketing).

The chapter is advised by Margaret Ake, a professor in the School of Business.
