Marine Biology/Biotechnology Field Trip to Maritime Gloucester

The Marine Biology and Biotechnology class recently took a field trip to Maritime Gloucester (http://maritimegloucester.org/ ) for the purpose of providing students with hands-on experiential learning, a core goal of Endicott College. Students learned about invasive species from the Director of Education, Mary Kay Taylor, and then got busy collecting vast numbers of microscopic and macroscopic invertebrates. Following the collections, students observed and characterized specimens in the state-of-the-art facilities, including a wide range of touch tanks made available for everyone to get a real feel for the animals.
